Lil’ Woo Doos invites imagination and provides therapy in the form of art and play. Created along with Minjung Alice Kang for our thesis project from Parsons The New School of Design.
They were carefully designed to transform the therapeutic experience into something tangible. Lil’ Woo Doos is characterized by the focus on therapeutic goals and adaptations of other existing toys. However, Lil’ Woo Doos is not designed to replace any particular person in reality, but rather to enhance the human relationship.
Lil’ Woo Doos imitates closeness using an automated heart simulator, voice recording module, and a heat module that simulates the warm of a hug, one plays a life like heartbeat and the other plays the recording of the loved one.
Utilizing zippered pockets to place removable modules that contain technologies like a recording module, pulse simulator, and lights. They focus on therapeutic goals and the adaptations of other existing toys. We believe that Lil’ Woo Doos invites imagination and provides essential therapy methods in the form of play.
